The team at UPC is a world leader in machined seals and custom products for the Aerospace, Space, and Defense industry. Currently, we are seeking a CNC Lathe operator to join our team.
Location: Chatsworth, CA
Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: 3 years minimum experience operating a CNC Lathe.
Requirements:
• Proficient in operating CNC machines, with live tooling, bar feeders, and/or parts catchers.
• Follow job instructions, process inspections, drawings, and specifications.
• Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Training provided for machines and/or controls as needed.
Beneficial Experience, Skills & Abilities:
• Experience working in the aerospace industry.
• Experience with Mori Seki lathes
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
• Ability to work in various indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Walking, standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching, etc. is required.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Safely operate equipment, and wear PPE.
• May be exposed to variable noise levels, fumes, hazardous chemicals, or airborne particles.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
• 20/20 vision with eyeglass correction, if required.

Location: Chatsworth, CA
Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: 3-years minimum working in industrial, manufacturing, transportation, or related fields.
Requirements:
Perform part modification, repairs, and a variety of repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly, operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. Tasks will include but are not limited to:
• Grinding, Electrical assembly, Painting, and painting preparation.
• Make routine checks on in-process and completed work.
• Follow job instructions, process inspections, drawings, and specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies.
Required Skills:
• Proficient with hand and/or power tools.
• Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
• Welding experience
• Forklift license
